Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo to Perform at New Outdoor Concert Series in East Providence

Waterfront Productions LLC, based in Newport, Rhode Island, and music promoter, Live Nation, announce that 1980s female rock icon Pat Benatar and her producer-guitarist-husband, Neil Giraldo, will appear in concert on Friday, September 22nd with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. at the new seasonal outdoor venue located at Bold Point Park on the East Providence waterfront.

“Get ready for some girl power coming to our new Bold Point Park venue in September,” said Michele Maker Palmieri, Founder and President of Waterfront Productions, the parent company of Rhode Island Waterfront Events and Newport Waterfront Events.  “Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo never disappoint so expect all the hits when they rock East Providence.”

Pat Benatar, the leading female rock vocalist of the 1980s with multiple Platinum albums, four Grammy awards and three American Music Awards, has always been a trailblazer as songs like “Love is a Battlefield”, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”, “Heartbreaker”, “Promises In The Dark” and “We Belong” contributed to the dawn of MTV and forged a path for other female rock stars around the world.  Benatar’s life changed forever in 1979 when she was introduced to guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Neil Giraldo, who shared the singer’s passions and used his skills as an innovative arranger and producer to help form the renowned Benatar sound.
