The Schemers Friday
Head to the Narrows Center in Fall River Friday for a rock show from one of the greatest bands ever to hail from the Ocean State. The Schemers are playing tonight with Brian McKenzie opening. Counting Crows and Matchbox 20 Friday
Two of the top bands to come out of the 1990’s hit the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on Friday night. Tickets are still available for the show which includes Counting Crows and Matchbox 20. For Houston at the Columbus Friday
A gaggle of RI’s best indie rockers hit one of RI’s best places for indie music, the Columbus Theatre Friday for a fundraiser to benefit the victims of the Hurricane Harvey. Join Tall Teenagers, The Quahogs, The Silks and more for the show tonight. Details here.
Claude Bourbon Saturday
Acoustic guitar fans won’t want to miss a free show Saturday night with Claude Bourbon, acclaimed English player who blends blues, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and medieval sounds. He’ll be playing a free show at the Tiverton Library at 7:30 PM Saturday night. Details here.
Narrows Festival Sunday
Sunday September 10th, head back Fall River for the 16th annual Narrows Center Festival of the Arts. This year’s free event includes a slew of favorites like Eilen Jewel, Kat Wright and Julie Rhodes. The music starts at 11AM with a full line up inside and on the Narrows outdoor stage. And it’s all free! Details here.
Rory Erikson Sunday
Check out rock legend Rory Erikson Sunday afternoon at Pop Emporium in Providence for his first ever Rhode Island gig. The show is billed as an ice cream social with Roky-themed gourmet ice cream pops along with an intimate performance from Roky and The Hounds of Baskerville! Details here.
