It’s certainly feeling like late fall out there over the last few days. Here are a few things happening across the state  that are worth getting out of the house for over the next few days.

Pride and Prejudice

Trinity Rep in Providence. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2 pm & 7:30 pm.

The  2018 Trinity Rep season begins with a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill. This playful and comedic adaptation of Austen’s much-beloved novel runs. The play premiered in 2017 and has quickly become one of the most popular new plays for regional theaters around the country. Rhapsody In Blue

The Vets, Providence. Friday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 8 pm

Newport Jazz Festival alumn Aaron Diehl returns to Rhode Island this weekend as the Rhode Island Philarmonic hosts two amazing nights of music at The Vets in Providence. More Info and Tickets for Rhapsody In Blue

13th Annual Halloween Iron Pour: The Lost Yard

The Steel Yard, Providence. Saturday from 5 pm to 9 pm

Join the Steel Yard on Saturday, October 20th for Providence’s raddest & hottest Halloween party… The 13th Annual Halloween Iron Pour…THE LOST YARD!  This theatrical display of the industrial arts attracts over 1,500 people including artists, fabricators, families, and friends to 27 Sims Avenue in Providence, RI. For this performance, artists harness the power of our custom-built iron tilt-furnace to pour over 2,500 pounds of luminous, molten iron. People return annually not only for the sparky performance and the numerous steel and iron props that we build in our own studio but also for the phenomenal local music and food. Pumpkins, Pints and Bountiful Bites

The Guild, Providence. Saturday from 3 pm to 8 pm

Join Ocean State Food Truck Festivals at The Guild on Saturday for fun for the whole family: Bounce house, games, music, food trucks, face painting and of course BEER! More info on Pumpkins, Pints, and Bountiful Bites

2018 Citizens Bank Pell Bridge Run

Jamestown and Newport. Sunday at 7 am.

This 4-mile run/walk over the famed Pell Bridge is the only day of the year that pedestrians are able to cross this iconic bridge on foot. What’s even cooler? 100% of net proceeds benefit local non-profits. More than 3,000 are expected to participate in the annual event this weekend. Visit Pell Bridge Run for more information.

 

Westerly Fall Restaurant Week
