Showcase Warwick to host “Diana Ross: Her Life, Love and Legacy” March 26th and 28th

Special screenings of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Karate Kid" also Planned

The Showcase Cinema in Warwick has some special showings of world premieres and classic films on the way, with three events scheduled over the next two weeks.

First up, Diana Ross: Her Life, Love and Legacy, which is scheduled for March 26th and March 28th. The press releases describes an exciting night for fans of Diana and her music.

You’re invited to the biggest birthday celebration of the year! 2019 will be remembered as a milestone in history with a year-long Diamond Diana Celebration, marking the 75th birthday of one of the greatest entertainers of all time, Diana Ross! This exclusive cinema event – Diana Ross: Her Life, Love and Legacy will never-before-seen footage, the best of the Diana Ross: Live in Central Park concert and inspired, heartfelt messages from the Ross family delivering a passionate introduction to the presentation capturing the magnitude of the event. True fans and newcomers alike can celebrate with Diana in theatres this March!

Also upcoming, on March 27th, there will be a special screening of the classic film To Kill a Mockingbird. The 1962 drama follows Atticus Finch, a depression-era Southern attorney, as he fearlessly defends a black man falsely accused of a serious crime.

And on April 2nd there will be a special cinema event screening of The Karate Kid in honor of the film’s 35th anniversary. The beloved film follows teenage Daniel as he learns how to defend himself with the help of Miyagi, a martial arts master. This event will also include a custom introduction from Ralph Macchio and William Zabka and a Cobra Kai Season 2 Sneak Peek.
