Jon Pousette-Dart Friday at Narrows Center (Fall River)

The Pousette-Dart Band was one of the great pleasures of the late 70’s. Songs like “Amnesia,” “County Line,” and “Fall on Me” were easy to embrace. The band is still out there on the road and pays a visit to the Narrows Center Friday night. Details here.

Black Violin Wednesday at The Vets (Providence)

Classical music and hip-hop collide Wednesday at The Vets when the groundbreaking duo Black Violin arrives in town. Violist Wil B. and violinist Kev Marcus are classically trained musicians who bring hip-hop samples and a party atmosphere to their live shows blurring the lines between musical genres with their one-of-a-kind, family-friendly fusion of groove and strings.
