Robert Cray Friday at Bold Point (East Providence)

The outdoor concert season begins this weekend at Bold Point Park in East Providence. The Park has over 15 concerts and festivals currently scheduled. The first show not only features headliner Robert Cray, but opening acts Marc Cohen, Shemekia Copeland and the Blind Boys of Alabama. Summer Concert Series of the Week: Friday Night Live at Mulligan’s (Cranston)

Mulligan’s Island in Cranston is best known for its driving range, mini-golf, and ice cream. Starting Friday night though, you can add music to that mix. The Friday Night Live Summer Concert Series begins tonight with the Steel Drum sound of Panoramic View. Future shows include The Poggs, Neal and the Vipers and Steve Smith and the Nakeds. Local Show of the Week: Porchfest Saturday at Villa Villekulla (Providence)

Many of RI’s best folks will gather Saturday for a free porch concert at Villa Villekulla at 12 Observatory Ave. off Hope Street in Providence.
