Newport, RI – The final weekend of October is already here, here’s what’s happening out there across the state as we head towards Halloween and November! 

3rd Annual Harvest Festival

Newport Vineyards, Middletown | Saturday & Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm

Sip, savor and toast to the seasons’ crush at Newport Vineyards’ 3rd Annual Harvest Celebration! A day full of grape stomping, wine, and Taproot beer tasting, pie eating goodness. Enjoy live music, while sipping on their local wines or fresh Taproot beer, and noshing on food created by scratch from our culinary team. Feeling competitive? You could be called to compete in our Grape Stomp Competition OR our Pie Eating Contest! Halloween Double-Feature

Rustic Drive-In, North Smithfield | Friday & Saturday at 7 pm

Rustic Drive-In closes out their 2018 season with the original Halloween (1978) followed by its 2018 remake. If you’re not in the spooky mood, Night School and Bad Times at El Royale, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween and Venom serve up as the other double features. Tickets and more information

Haunted Brewery Ball & Pig Roast

Foolproof Brewing Co., Pawtucket | Saturday at 8 pm

Foolproof’s Haunted Brewery Ball and Pig Roast features a costume competition, pig roast prepared by Binge BBQ, optional brewery “haunt,” and the release of their Vanilla Espresso Raincloud Porter! Awards will be handed out for best individual and couples costumes. This is a 21+ event, and the cost of admission is $25 (or $30 for an extra beer plus admission to the haunt). Ticket includes admission to the costume competition, souvenir Foolproof glass, one complimentary beer, and a plate of food from the pig roast. It’s the perfect way to kick off your Halloween! Providence Monster Dash 5k & Kids Fun Dash

250 S. Water Street, Providence | Sunday at 10 am (Pictured Above)

Take part in this fun Halloween 5k where most dress up in costume. This 5k passes through the scary RIPTA bus tunnel which will be infested with Zombies and some special effects too! The Kids Dash starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 5k will start at 10:00 am. Register and more info at

Trunk Or Treat

Fort Adams, Newport | Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm

Bring the family out to Audrain’s Trunk or Treat at Fort Adams State Park in Newport on Sunday! Dress up in your Halloween costumes and trick or treat from the trunks of some of Newport’s coolest cars! They will also be collecting canned goods to donate to the MLK Center of Newport!
