Concert Review and Photos: Albert Lee at The Narrows

British guitar virtuoso Albert Lee graced the stage at The Narrows on Friday. Lee dazzled the house with his unique finger-style and picking techniques which he has perfected over the last sixty years.

Often referred to as “Mr. Telecaster,” Lee is known as “a guitar player’s guitar player.” Some of his early influences included Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Everly Brothers.

Acknowledged as primarily a country artist, Lee’s success has crossed into a wide array of genres. He has played with the like of Emmylou Harris, Eric Clapton, Vince Gill, Nick Lowe, Willie Nelson, and Don Everly.

At the age of 75, Lee still has what it takes to light up the stage. With the support of a talented backup band, Lee put on a magnificent performance.
