Folk singer-songwriter Cheryl Wheeler played before a sellout crowd at The Narrows on Friday. Wheeler enchanted the audience with her unique wit, storytelling, graceful sound, and melodies.
Gifted with a beautiful voice and equal songwriting talent, her songs have been covered by artists as Peter, Paul and Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Melanie, and Bette Midler. Nationally well respected within the folk genre, Wheeler has been an area resident for over forty years, and is always a local favorite.
What’s Up Rhode Island was there to cover a night of some beautiful homegrown folk music performed by one of its masters.
