It was an incredible night of alternative and Indie rock as fans packed the house at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA last Thursday. Beck, Cage the Elephant, Spoon, and Sunflower Bean took the stage for their talent-stacked “The Night Running” tour. Beck and company put together a magnificent evening of light shows, pyrotechnics, and some seriously rousing music.

New York rockers Sunflower Bean opened the evening with a superb set. Led by front woman Julia Cumming, the band put on solid set layered with punk overtones.

Spoon took the stage next, with Britt Daniels leading the way. Never one to disappoint, Daniels and the band performed a high energy set, including their biggest hit “Underdog.”

The always entertaining Cage the Elephant was up next, and got the crowd going with some spectacular pyrotechnics and animated antics of lead man Matt Shultz. Shultz and his bandmates put on an explosive set that kept the crowd on its feet for the duration.

Beck capped the night off, opening his set with a rocking rendition of his signature hit “Loser.” He continued with an amazing light show, reeling off hit after hit and finishing up with his popular “Where It’s At” to a downpour of confetti.
