Junior League of Rhode Island recruiting community-minded women for membership

The Junior League of Rhode Island, Inc. (JLRI) announced this week that they will be hosting a prospective member information session on August 26 from 6-7 pm at The Wharf Tavern in Warren.

The JLRI is a volunteer organization for women interested in making an impact in the community through effective volunteerism and training. The information session will provide an opportunity to meet current JRLI members and learn more about the mission, membership requirements, and volunteer opportunities available. 

Since 1921, more than 16,000 Rhode Island women have participated as members in the JLRI, contributing more than 2.2 million hours of community service to the communities across Rhode Island. In addition, the JLRI has contributed more than $1.5 million to more than 250 community partners statewide. The JLRI is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., which is made up of 291 Junior Leagues in four countries. Membership is transferrable among all Leagues. 

The JLRI is a statewide non-profit organization committed to, developing the potential of women, promoting volunteerism, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
