Providence Folk Festival Coming to Rose Larisa Park in East Providence August 25th

Annual Festival Moves to New Location

The Providence Folk Festival will be held on Sunday, August 25th, from Noon-6PM at Rose Larisa Park in East Providence, RI. The 6th annual Festival features two stages of music with twenty local and regional musicians scheduled to perform. The free event is being held in a new location this year, Rose Larisa Park, just across the street from the historic Crescent Park Looff Carousel, in Riverside.

Festival Performers include Dan Lilley and the Keepers, Seatbelt, Cardboard Ox, Kala Farnham, and the Lisa Couto Trio. The RI Food Bank will there collecting donations and festival attendees can also visit the Intention Peace booth to set their intentions for peace and their own well-being.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic lunch. There will be food trucks available and the Blount Clam Shack is located across the street at the Crescent Park Carousel. There is free parking at the park and across the street behind the carousel.

The Providence Folk Festival was the 2017 recipient of the Motif Magazine “Best Americana Festival” award and continues to bring the best in folk, roots and Americana music to Rhode Island. For more information, visit the Providence Folk Festival web page here:

Hear In Rhode Island

Hear In Rhode Island, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and produces the Providence Folk Festival. This non-profit arts organization produces many music events in Rhode Island, since 1994. Hear in Rhode Island was founded by RI native and music community leader, John Fuzek.

The organization’s primary goal is to produce free music festivals that promote folk singer-songwriters. Over the years, Hear in Rhode Island has served tens of thousands of people with high quality music from local and national artists.
