Music always dominated the Christina home in Westerly, whether it was mom and dad dancing in the kitchen, or one of the kids playing in some of the top bands on the East Coast.

Tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 8) at the Knickerbocker Music Center in Westerly, more than a half dozen bands will fill the hall with music, from blues to jazz to rock, a six-hour marathon and the 11th MitchFest in honor of the late James “Mitch” Christina. All proceeds, said son and drummer Bobby Christina,  will benefit Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island.

The event runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker, 35 Railroad Ave., Westerly. Admission is $20. Tickets are available at the door, or on line at Further information is available at
