Arts In Common will present Bristol PorchFest 2019 on Sunday September 15, from 3–6 pm on High street from Walley to Constitution.
The grassroots, family-friendly annual event will feature eighteen band or musicians on nine porches, offer something for every musical taste: Classical Portuguese guitar to Dixieland jazz, folk to rock, opera to A Capella and more.
According to organizers “This year, police suggested closing the street to traffic, so Town Council has approved police will stop traffic and patrol intersections 2:45 pm until 6:15 pm”.
“One of the most amazing things last year was meeting friends and neighbors coming together as a community to enjoy a Sunday afternoon of great local music on our historic porches,” said Bradley Wester, Arts in Common and Bristol PorchFest founder in a prepared statement.
Five local restaurants are offering PorchFest special deals and the William’s Grant Inn will serve free cookies and lemonade at an Open House during PorchFest
Event partner is Roger Williams University, with support from Pawtucket Credit Union.
