Hey Nineteen Friday at Greenwich Odeum (East Greenwich)
If you haven’t heard Steely Dan Tribute Band Hey Nineteen yet, head to the Greenwich Odeum Friday to check them out. The band meticulously recreates the Dan sound, on hits “Peg” and “Do it Again” as well as deeper cuts like “Doctor Wu” and “Your Gold Teeth.” Details here.
River Bend East Festival Saturday at Slater Mill (Pawtucket)
Saturday’s River Bend East Songwriters Festival is a featured part of the Pawtucket Arts Festival, a month-long event in the city. The Festival begins at Noon and includes local and national performers like The Sea The Sea, Vance Gilbert and Catie Curtis. There’s a beer garden, historical tours and it’s kid-friendly. Culture Shock Saturday at Slater Mill (Pawtucket)
Culture Shock is a second stage at the Pawtucket Arts Festival showcasing Hip Hop and related genres. The family-friendly event includes Chachi Carvalho and the International Players, Cam Bells, and Alexus Lee. The event also includes a live arts display (graffiti), a kids zone with bounce houses, BMX Stunt bikes, beer garden, vendors, food trucks, prizes, raffles, and giveaways. Details here.
Warren Folks Festival Sunday (Warren)
The 4th annual Warren Folks Festival, a fundraiser for The Collaborative, is this Sunday September 8th in downtown Warren. There’s a ton of food, drink and music including bands The Low Cards, Cactus Attack, Consuelo’s Revenge, Rafey Rashid and Jane Hesser. Complete details here.
Vinnie Earnshaw Memorial at The Met Sunday (Pawtucket)
Sunday afternoon, friends will gather at the Met to remember Vinnie Earnshaw, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. A talented and admired bass player, Earnshaw played bass in numerous area bands.
