Eric Narwhal Memorial Tribute Concert Coming to The Met Sunday March 8

Concert to Benefit Music Programs in Providence Schools

(February 20, 2020) — On Sunday, March 8, 2020, The MET in Pawtucket will host the inaugural Erik Narwhal Memorial Tribute concert to raise funds for music programs while remembering a truly unique individual – the late Erik Marzocchi, also known as musician Erik Narwhal. Tickets can be purchased at www.eriknarwhal.com

Marzocchi passed away unexpectedly from a cerebral hemorrhage on March 7, 2019, leaving a giant hole in the hearts of his family, loved ones, students, fans, friends, and fellow teachers in Providence.

Erik Narwhal was well known for his piano pounding, anything-goes style during decades of performing with his band The Manatees. Those who knew Erik offstage knew he was happiest spending quality time with his wife, two sons, and the rest of his family.

A dedicated music teacher who started performing in his teens, Marzocchi believed in the power that music could have in the lives of children. Proceeds from this event benefit the Erik Narwhal Memorial Scholarship Fund dedicated to supporting instrumental music education and scholarships for students attending Providence Public Schools.
